The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage.
The NSS unit of our College is actively engaged in community and social services in and around the campus, through its regular community development activities on weekends & special camping in adopted villages / areas.
1: 'NSS Special Camp' inaugurated
On 17/01/2023, "NSS Special Camp" was inaugurated at Samarpan Deep B.Ed College, Ushamatu, Ratu, Ranchi, in which Dr. Brajesh Kumar, NSS Coordinator cum State Coordinator of Ranchi University was the chief guest.
There was cooperation of the Principal and all the people in this program.
2: 9th International Yoga Day Celebration
A host of activities and events were organized by the NSS unit of Samarpan Deep B.Ed College to mark the celebration of the 9th International Yoga Day. The events spanned three days starting from 19th June to 21st June 2023. Apart from Yoga, other activities like Painting competitions, Essay writing competitions, and Elocution contests were also held.
On 19th June 2023, competitions like Painting, Essay writing, and elocution contest were held at the Samaran Deep B.Ed College. A large number of students actively took part in the events. Contest winners were felicitated by the College.
On 20th June, students of Samarpan Deep B. Ed College participated in the university-level program of NSS.
On 21st June, the 9th International Yoga Day program was celebrated at the college's Multipurpose Hall. A large number of students and teachers practiced various yogic asanas. On the same day, the 9th International Yoga Day program was organized by the NSS Unit of Ranchi University in the Convocation Pavilion, on this occasion Honorable Sanjay Seth Sir, Vice Chancellor Ajit Kumar Sinha Sir, and other college program officers, students of Samarpan Deep B Ed College were also involved in this.
